I’m a little excited, I must admit, because I’ve updated my blog!  Woohoo!  This is like Spring cleaning, and I cleaned up a lot!

I took a look at my blog and also took a look at what I’ve accomplished in the last year with it and found that most of it has been fundamental, which was the basic idea that I wanted.  I have never had a blog before this last year and I had no idea what the heck I was doing.  I just kind of winged it and have learned so much.  That is not to say, however, that I have yet to learn more about quilting, blogging, business set-up, books, writing, etc.  This has so far been an exciting year for me because of what I did learn.

In the next year I hope to go further with all the subjects that this blog is about.  I have revised and restructured the categories a little bit so that they will have a bit more of a focus within each category.  They are about all the things I want to accomplish this particular year.   For example, it is no secret to anyone who knows me that I have always wanted to be a published author and I have written here and there for a few months and am happy to report that I have a structured story that will hopefully turn into a book soon.  Another example, is my involvement in my son’s education that leads me to subjects about books, literacy, parent involvement, mommy adventures in his school, and how my life has changed from having two toddlers full-time at home to shifting to one at home and the other in school.  Whew!

This is just a small bit of it but I am excited about this year because my brain is chock full of ideas, stories, projects, tips, and just basic fun stuff that came out of my trial and error period.  I just love, love, LOVE holidays and it is no mistake that my blog began at the beginning of last Fall and now these changes and going forward is beginning this Fall.  You will be seeing a lot of holidays throughout the year on this blog too.

I feel my success; I can see something ahead that I haven’t yet identified but it is good.  We live in a country where anything is possible if you work hard enough.  I hope you continue to share, comment, and read along as I take another leap into the future!  I am so excited!

This is a picture of fabric I got from JoAnn.  I am making my son’s kindergarten class some treat bags for Halloween.  Cute, huh?

For my son’s kindergarten “Nightmare Halloween” treat bags. BOO!
