1. Hearing your kids tell you “I Love You Mama!”
2. Witnessing every milestone.
3. Rocking and singing them to sleep.
4. Taking their first Christmas and birthday pictures.
5. That I can take care of their co co’s (boo boo’s).
There are so many great things about being a mom, but when children are tiny, so dependent on you for comfort, guidance, and love, the best thing is knowing that they are happy and that they automatically turn to you for everything. I know that most kids like being hugged and kissed. I know that they all want love and comfort. I didn’t know a thing about being a mom when I had my son and later my daughter but along the way I knew that I wanted to give them infinite hugs and kisses, constantly tell them, show them, and make them feel loved and confident in themselves. Not a day goes by that we don’t say, “I love you” to each other. I find it to be a wonderous thing that they trust me unconditionally and come to me or do as I ask without hesitation. That trust is so inexplicably sacred. Being a mom is my biggest and most successful achievement in my life. If I don’t reach my further goals anymore, I will have achieved, by far, the most important one that matters.
